Documentary filmmaking is source of a joy, a privilege, and a responsibility, Carol Mansour tells us in this letter illustrated with footage from her films tackling a number of human rights issues. She believes that providing opportunities for the voices of others to be heard contributes to making the world a better place.

Carol Mansour is a Lebanese-Palestinian independent documentary filmmaker.
In partnership with Hivos and its Resource of Open Minds (R.O.O.M), Mada Masr is pleased to deliver personal video letters from creative producers in Egypt and Lebanon. Through language, sound, image and action, they share thoughts and feelings on ways to creatively engage with the complex world we all live in.
