The novelty of being a woman working in a men's salon did not deter Abeer Mostafa from entering what she describes as an adventure and learning a trade with which to earn a living. She entered the field in 1997, and after accumulating years of experience, opened her own men's salon in 2010. Now with the spread of the novel coronavirus, Abeer remains committed to her financial responsibilities and to serving her customers by taking precautionary sterilization measures, many of which she says had long been standard practices to protect clients and staff.
