Moamen Awaad is one of the few men in Alexandria who's hooked on crochet. Self-taught upon discovering an affinity for working with yarn, he now creates commissioned pieces in addition to selling his products in local shops and online. While Moamen says he is often an object of curiosity as a man who crochets, he is proud of his handmade items, likening them to babies he has brought into being from a ball of yarn.
