Infographic: Facts and figures from CAPMAS’ 2017 census
The results of Egypt’s national census for population, housing and facilities, were announced by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) during a press conference on Saturday. Egypt’s 14th national census, and the first to be carried out electronically, it was open to Egyptians until Tuesday, April 18. The conference was attended by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a number of other government officials.
