CAPMAS: Taxi fare to rise by 3-10%
Egypt’s recent increase in fuel prices will raise the cost of taxi fares by 3 to 10 percent, according to a report released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, Aswat Masriya reported.
The Egyptian government has raised fuel prices by up to 75 percent, so that it can decrease its budget deficit and combat a costly subsidies system.
Cairo’s Governor Mostafa Saeed said the fuel price rise won’t affect public transport fares, according to Aswat Masriya.
