Mahienour al-Massry was held in a cell with a few Islamist women. One of her cell mates, 65-year-old Samia Shanan, was sentenced to death for taking part in violent incidents in Kerdasa, but a court of cassation recently ordered a retrial for her on appeal. Shanan made Massry a rosary using olive stones.
