Mohamed Anwar, 26, was born to a Sudanese family and has never attained Egyptian nationality despite living his entire life in Egypt. He has been politically active since a young age and at university he worked with political groups to support students’ interests. Mentored by Amr Selim at Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, he is currently head of the cartoon department there.
