Six killed in military plane crash
Six people were killed and one injured Sunday when a military cargo plane crashed in Fayoum during training, a statement by the Armed Forces spokesperson said.
The plane crashed due to a technical malfunction, the statement said.
Defense Minister Sedky Sobhy ordered the formation of a committee to investigate the reasons behind the crash.
Last October, a military jet crashed in Luxor, killing one person and injuring another three.
The crash was caused by a “sudden malfunction,” military spokesperson Ahmed Mohamed Ali said at the time.
