Police arrest suicide bomber in Ismailia
Police arrested a suicide bomber near a Central Security Forces camp (CSF) in Ismailia.
A security source at the Ismailia Security Directorate said that police forces shot at the assailant, wounding him and killing another.
Amidst the arrest, the police found an explosive belt in the possession of the attacker, state-owned news portal EGYNews reported Sunday.
Security forces detonated the explosive belt and imposed high security measures around the CSF camp, the portal added.
Last December, an explosion at the camp left one dead and 35 injured when a car bomb exploded nearby. The explosion caused several road accidents and many civilians were injured as a result. The military intelligence building in Ismailia was also attacked, leaving six soldiers injured.
