Brotherhood stage protests in Cairo
A group of women protesters marched around Nahda Square in Giza on Sunday to condemn the killing of fellow women in Mansoura, privately owned newspaper Al-Shorouk reported.
On Friday, a protest in support of deposed President Mohamed Morsi in Mansoura was attacked by armed assailants who encircled some women in the march and killed four of them, according to eyewitnesses.
The Brotherhood-affiliated Freedom and Justice portal said that two of the four were killed with live ammunition.
Another women's march took place in front of Ain Shams University in Cairo on Sunday. They tried to march to the Ministry of Defense but were blocked by military police, eyewitnesses said.
A pro-Morsi protest also marched in Qasr al-Aini Street and Garden City, near the cabinet building where newly appointed Prime Minister Hazem al-Biblawi was holding meetings.
Other Brotherhood marches are organized throughout the afternoon on Sunday and more are planned for Wednesday.
Brotherhood leaders have vowed to continue protesting until Morsi, ousted on 3 July, is reinstated to the presidency.
