This picture is a lot about gazes: the young men looking at the girl, the guy drinking and staring into the distance, and the guy looking at me. That there is a person looking at me, the photographer, is very important, because his gaze opens up the space away from what is in the frame, to the things that are outside, including my existence and later the spectator.
