Nubaseed workers queue up at the start of the morning shift to check in at the company’s main building in Beheira Governorate. Nubaseed was the first Egyptian company to be managed by its workers after the 2011 revolution. For two years, the 300 workers ran the company and overcame many hardships. They promoted deputy managers to take the place of the managers who had left and informed the workers about the company’s financial situation. Each and every Nubaseed worker knows how much money the company has in its bank account.
