In 1991, the government merged Nubaseed with the Holding Company for Agricultural Development, which began to sell part of the land to farmers and other companies. The Nubaseed plots decreased and the company’s share of the local seed market grew smaller. The greenhouses shown in the photo were part of one of the company’s most promising sectors.
