The Sebou’ (literally the seventh day in Arabic) is one of the celebrations held by Egyptians exactly seven days after the birth of a child. The celebration dates back to the pharaohs, whose murals from the New Kingdom era depict similar patterns of celebration. These ritual practices are observed by both Muslims and Christians alike, though with differences.
