While his photos help introduce the music to a Western audience with the familiar scenes of a lively wedding party and Nile boat rides, he was able to go behind behind the scenes and show us more about the lives of DJ Figo, Alaa Fifty and Sadat, some of the most famous shaabi singers in Egypt.
