Microbus explodes after security forces open fire in Rafah
A microbus exploded in Rafah Sunday after security forces opened fire on it, leading them to believe that it was carrying a large amount of explosives, MENA reported.
The microbus failed to stop after security forces ordered it to, MENA stated, after which they started shooting.
There are no reports on the number of injuries or deaths.
The general prosecution was notified and will begin investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, security forces detonated another explosive in Rafah, leaving no injuries, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior.
The device was found on the side of the road after a bus carrying police conscripts to Rafah passed through the area, the statement said.
